Pukka Herbal Tea REVIEW

Good afternoon everyone,

Today, thanks to the Nutrition Centre, I'm having my first taste of Pukka's Peppermint & Licorice organic herbal tea. I already drink and enjoy herbal teas such as green tea, lemon & ginger tea and plain peppermint tea, so I'm eager to try this new combination of peppermint with licorice.

Let's pop the kettle on!

My box of Pukka tea contains 20 individually wrapped tea sachets, and retails at £2.03 from the Nutrition Centre (as of 9/9/14). The tea is naturally caffeine free, ethically sourced and 100% organically grown!

Once the teabag hits the hot water, it swirls the water into a beautiful grass-green colour, and you can immediately smell the minty tones. As recommended, I allowed the tea to brew for 5 minutes before tasting.

After eagerly waiting, I gave it a sip. Delicious! You can taste the mint first, then you get the subtle zing of the naturally sweet licorice. It's minty and refreshing, and would be an excellent palate cleanser at the end of a meal. This tea will be a great addition to my tea collection.

What I adore about herbal teas is that many of them have health benefits as well as being hydrating and delicious. Peppermint tea has a lovely refreshing taste that is perfect for an after dinner refreshment. It's also a natural treatment for stomach bloating and gas, and helps boost your metabolism. Licorice tea works as a mild laxative and helps relieve constipation. But it also has anti-inflammatory properties which can ease the pain of arthritis and significantly ease PMT!
