We visited Weymouth....and met some fabulous bloggers!

Happy Wednesday everyone,

Where were you this weekend? We visited Weymouth to have lots of fun with Sarah (from Super Sarah's World) and Chrissie (from The Burt Family blog)! Both Sarah and Chrissie are based down in Weymouth, so Family Howe travelled down for the weekend staying at the Premier Inn at the sea front.

We had quite an eventful journey down: First, I spilt Coke on my lap (d'oh!), then Lee got lost (and Lee HATES being lost, so out came his nemesis, the satnav!), and finally.....Scarlett decided to resurrect her car sickness ailment.

But, there was a bright light at the end of the tunnel....Sarah and her little boy Aaron was meeting us for dinner that evening. Did you see our selfie on Instagram? After a comfortable night sleep in the hotel (with both kids sleeping soundly til half 6!) we headed for our day of fun at Lodmoor Country Park, Weymouth Sea Life Adventure Park followed by Fantasy Island

A rare shot of hubby and I!

We met a Lego Man at the entrance to the Sea Life Adventure Park!
Only Tristan was happy to hold his hand - kids eh?

Say hello to three fabulous bloggers!

Here we are at Fantasy Island: a fun fair perfect for little ones

The next day saw Family Howe head to Weymouth seafront for some sand castle building before it started raining, so we legged it to the nearest arcade where Tristan and Scarlett happily played with the 2p machine while the weather passed.

Alas, the rain continued, but the kiddiwinks insisted on ice cream so we grabbed some cones and ate them in the car whilst we debated where to head to next.

Lee always wanted to return to Portland and see the lighthouse, so with the drizzly weather we headed on a driving tour around the 'island'.

To get to Portland from Weymouth, you pass Chesil Beach, a shingle beach a whopping 18 miles long! We headed into Portland, where as you travel uphill, there were some amazing views. And of course, at the most southern-point, is the famous lighthouse, Portland Bill.

After an hour exploring the island by car, stopping at a few viewpoints, we had two exhausted kiddiwinks in the back of the car, so we headed home.

We all had an amazing weekend, and it was great to see the fabulous Sarah again, and meet new blogger Chrissie! Weymouth will definitely be on the agenda for next year!

And YOU can watch all our Weymouth adventures over on our YouTube channel, ViccyVlogs! Enjoy!
