Friday night yummies

Tonight, I'm cooking a yummy extra cheesey pasta bake with homemade garlic-buttered bread.

My cheesey sauce is a jar of 4-cheese sauce, with half a tub of cream cheese, and a ball of mozzarella (chopped finely with my Pampered Chef chopper). This sauce is warmed on the hob while the pasta boils.

Once the pasta is 90% cooked, drain and combine with the cheese sauce. Place in a ceramic dish ready for its crispy coating of breadcrumbs, grated cheddar cheese and crispy fried onions.

Pop into oven for about 30-45 minutes, quite low at 140 degrees.

The garlic bread is also easy. I minced 4-6 garlic cloves in my Pampered Chef chopper, and added it to 2-3 tablespoons of butter, and mixed thoroughly. After lightly toasting slices of bakery fresh bloomer bread, I added the garlic butter & returned the slices to the grill until the butter melts into the bread.

And, enjoy.

NB: Apologies for mentioning the Pampered Chef chopper twice but it's a god-send in the kitchen! I severely lack in chopping skills (bordering losing a finger, according to hubby), but I can safely and finely chop various foods with the chopper. So I enjoy recommending it. Oh, it saves time too.
