Well done to Jackie, the mum behind Meals for Squeals Cookery School

Happy Wednesday friends!

I'm really pleased to share with you all that local mum, Jackie Novels, is through to the finals for a national business award later this month! Jackie, who runs Meals for Squeals baby food cookery school on the Badminton Road out of Yate, is a national finalist in the Natwest Venus Awards for women in business.

Jackie and I first met back in the summer when she invited me to her cookery school for a blog review which you can read HERE. Together, we made mushroom risotto, moussaka, mackerel pate and soda bread rolls which are all perfect for family meals with toddlers.

She has made the shortlist after being named Business Mother of the Year 2014 for the South West, for setting up her cookery school whilst also caring full-time for her twins, now aged 2.

Here is Jackie (middle) with Paulina Gillespie (Heart FM) and
Tara Howard (founder of the Venus Awards)

Jackie will now be competing against winners from other regions and will attend the award ceremony in Basingstoke on January 23rd to find out if she is the overall winner for the UK!

Congratulations Jackie! We look forward to the end of the month when we hear what will hopefully be good news!
