Absolute Beauty Salon in Cheltenham REVIEW

Happy Sunday friends!

Today, I'm sharing the wonderful experience I had at Absolute Beauty Salon in Cheltenham. The lovely owner Alison invited me (and a plus one) to enjoy a few treatments and find out more about her salon.

Absolute Beauty has been open for 8 years, and is located just a few minutes walk from the main shopping area in Cheltenham. This is a lovely little independent salon with plenty of on-street parking (although do check the parking signs).

My friend Jo and I were warmly greeted by Teresa, offered drinks, then given information about our treatments.

The reception area doubles as a retail area, and is where they sell various beauty products including Orly nail products, Monu skincare products, Herbalife, Nailtiques, Xen-Tan. They also stock skincare products from Jennifer Young which are 100% natural and 100% organic.

Jo was kindly given a pedicure carried out by Alison, and she chose a vibrant red polish called "Haute Red" from Orly. Jo's pedicure started with a relaxing foot soak to soften the skin and nails. Then, the nails are clipped and the cuticles pushed back, followed by an invigorating foot scrub to soften the feet.

The feet are then thoroughly dried, ready to be smothered with foot lotion to ensure the feet are soft and hydrated. The toe nails are then carefully painted with the Haute Red varnish.

I was graciously given a very exquisite and luxurious facial using the CACI machine (pictured below) by therapist Teresa, which started with microdermabrasion all over my face and neck. This was truly relaxing as the abrasive silicon tip smoothly vibrated, although it was quite ticklish when applied near my nostrils and filtrum!

Next, Teresa gently draped a sheet mask onto my face. This hydrating sheet mask contained rose water and hyaluronic acid to truly hydrate and nourish my skin. With the sheet mask still on my face, Teresa used a microcurrent which acts as an aesthetic anti-aging treatment. It did sting a little during the treatment as it uses a small current of less than one millionth of an amp. Then, Teresa applied an LED blue and red light treatment, Together, these two treatments plump out the skin and soften lines.

This was an amazing treatment (thank you Alison and Teresa!) and within a day I noticed that my neck is more toned than usual, and that my pores on and around my nose are less noticeable. Even after ten days, my skin is still looking vibrant, smooth and clear, and I even think my forehead is more taught. The results are amazing, and all without needles or having surgery!

Here I am, post-treatment, ready for shopping and lunch in Cheltenham

I just had to photograph the inspiring quote that was on the wall in my treatment room - do you agree?

Absolute Beauty is more than your standard salon: it embraces both the modern and traditional services, and offers up-to-date and advanced technology. As well as the traditional manicure, pedicure and waxing services, Absolute Beauty also offer reflexology, electrolysis, Hopi ear candles, Reiki, lava shell massage, and lots more.

Thank you Alison for my invitation to your friendly warm salon. Jo and I were thoroughly impressed by the treatments you offer, the products used, your professional staff, and, of course, you! I also love all the charity work you and your staff get involved with (Teresa has just completed "Sober for October" raising over £100 for Macmillan Cancer Support; the team hosted a Strawberry Tea to raise money for Breast Cancer Care; and earlier this year Alison and Teresa did the London Moonwalk Marathon). Well done ladies!

Dare I say Absolute Beauty is Absolutely Amazing? Yes, I do!
