I tried out a new family-friendly recipe I saw on Facebook a few weeks back: Baked bean lasagne a la Viccy
And it was delicious!
Ingredients
x2 tins of baked beans
x1 tin of chopped tomatoes
Carrot
Bell pepper
Salami
Worcestershire sauce
Powdered cheese sauce
Lasagne sheet
Cheese
Firstly, I finely minced a bell pepper, carrot and salami, then gently fried them together in a large saucepan for approx ten minutes until soft. I then added the beans and chopped tomatoes, plus a large glug of Worcestershire sauce, and simmered for ten minutes.
While waiting the ten minutes, I made up the cheese sauce with freshly boiled kettle water.
Once the bean mixture is hot and bubbly, add a ladle or two into the bottom of your lasagne baking dish. Topped with a layer of lasagne sheets, then a thin layer of the cheese sauce. Repeat, then place the entire lasagne into pre-heated oven (160 degrees) for 30 minutes.
After the 30 minutes, cover with grated cheese, and bake for another 10 minutes.
Serve immediately. Delicious and warming!
