Monday's dinner is........as Tristan calls it....Spider Spaghetti!
Yummy spaghetti threaded through pieces of hot dog, topped with a tomato sauce (with a hidden whole red pepper, minced via a chopper from Pampered Chef), and served with a garlic baguette.
How to....
I break the raw spaghetti and half, and the hot dogs into 3rds. I spear about 8 pieces of spaghetti through each piece of hot dog. Carefully add to a pan of boiling water, and cook for approx 12 minutes.
The tomato sauce is just a tin of chopped tomatoes, a squirt of tomato ketchup and puree, a sprinkle of garlic powder, dried basil, salt & pepper. I minced a red pepper into the tomato sauce, then simmered for 8 minutes while the spaghetti cooks.
Easy peasy, and Tristan (and Lee) LOVES it and gobbles it up messily.
