Today, I made spaghetti & meatballs for our dinner!
500g beef mince
Tomato ketchup, a giant squirt
Garlic granules, a fine sprinkle
Fine breadcrumbs, a standard hand-full
Dried basil, two big pinches
Salt, two big pinches
Pepper, 4-6 grinds
Just mix with your hands and then mould into golf-ball sized meatballs.
Fry gently in EVOO for 10-15 minutes, turning every few minutes, til just cooked.
Add the meatballs to the simmering pasta sauce (I used left-over ratatouille from Tuesdays dinner, plus an extra can of chopped tomatoes) for five minutes so they finish cooking and get juicy from the tomato sauce.
Serve on top of a big pile of spaghetti, top with a grating of cheddar cheese, and side of garlic bread.
