Wedding Fairs and Venues

Yesterday was a jammed-packed day of weddings, in my role as maid-of-honour!

A little bit disappointed with the wedding fair as cost us £2 each to enter, no goody bag nor a fashion show! It was generally quite small, but with at least six photographers that dominated the floor. BUT....one of the photographers gave us two brill venue tip-offs.

So, off we trekked to Rookery Manor on a whim. We expected just to have a quick peek as we didnt have an appointment, but the lovely owner insisted on showing us everything (not just the event venue, but a sample of the hotel rooms, on-site spa and the on-site bridal dress boutique). The venue is gorgeous, and most definatly has the wow factor. And we were even treated to complimentary coffees and chocolates when going through the wedding information brochure. If the bride-to-be chooses this place, i'll be very happy (especially as I feel I could trust the staff rather than my control-freak event planner skills going into overdrive).

We also looked at the beautiful Batch Barn too. Beautiful, but unfortunatly after the fabulous RM, just wasn't quite on par. But again, even though we didnt have an appointment, the staff showed us around and looked after us.

Came home after 8 hours of wedding fun, exhausted but full of inspiration and ideas for the happy couple.
