Wedding Fair & Shopping

Fulfilling my maid of honour duties, we went to a wedding fayre at the Mercure Hotel in Bristol City Centre yesterday.....free to enter, but no fashion show. Again, way too many photographers, but three stalls stood out.

Did you know that you can hire birds of prey to be your ring bearer? They even had a barn owl tame enough to stroke, so us girls cooed over him.

The cake lady there was lovely. The cakes on display were gorgeous and in a shabby chic theme, and she had cake samples. The lemon was nice, but her chocolate orange sponge was utterly lush.

And the bridal dress boutique had two beautiful dresses on mannequins that the bride -to-be is near desperate to try on! So, once she books her venue, it'll be dress shopping. Yippee.

Afterwards, we strolled around Bristol City Centre and by coincidence found this three storey independant craft shop which included a whole floor of wedding stuff. Perfect, especially as my bride to be wants to do a few DIY elements to keep costs down.

After a quick snack - a lush cinnamon and sugar pretzel from Mr Pretzel just outside Cabot Circus, the girls introduced me to a new shop that I hadn't visited before - Oliver Bonas. Lush clothes, lush housewares.....just need to fatten my wallet before visiting again as there was so much I desired.

And that was my Sunday with the girls. :D  xxx
