<br />
This free trail will take families around the vibrant market town of Chipping Sodbury on the hunt for 30 furry (toy) creatures in shop windows.<br />
<br />
Simply pick up a trail map (yes, this fun activity is free) from the Chipping Sodbury Tourist Information Centre located under the Clock Tower in the high street, and identify the names of all 30 furry animals hiding in the town.<br />
<br />
Don't forget to hand in your completed trail maps back into the tourist information centre to receive a certificate, and to be entered into a prize draw to win one of the furry animals! You have until Saturday, 3rd September to take part.<br />

Next up is something new that's brewing up on social media. It's Jamberry Nail Wraps!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjjvh9UvpqIai5n_l86tUfIHNMMHd_tR5eeivqu1O_wgtY0x0JTiffJpLIS6Fg9or6WXLpyj5VIMdUpwVqo8CuwIhgWLEdkxnugDag4eJwffQFooufT71i3we9TsDDqQPkZsVmvpRGYG6O_/s1600/P1110922Edit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="478" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjjvh9UvpqIai5n_l86tUfIHNMMHd_tR5eeivqu1O_wgtY0x0JTiffJpLIS6Fg9or6WXLpyj5VIMdUpwVqo8CuwIhgWLEdkxnugDag4eJwffQFooufT71i3we9TsDDqQPkZsVmvpRGYG6O_/s640/P1110922Edit.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I've teamed up with <a href="http://charlottespencer.jamberry.com/" rel="nofollow">Jamberry Consultant Charlotte Spencer</a> who's given me a set of nail wraps in this beautiful intricate design called "<a href="https://charlottespencer.jamberry.com/uk/en/shop/products/butterfly-garden" rel="nofollow">Butterfly Garden</a>" to try out & review right here on my blog<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjnbApd5dvjP1PbWrFclCTa2YBlmCU2cCdVDVf1bWgipiHRollgiwCvDMK2iAZ8wJOOneQW2UDa8F230_izPk1Kd3kjbBdDyl8HfEMAESq4npFRt14_KINEY5K-w8UKkYsyMsm-pIqZcS8P/s1600/P1110923.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjnbApd5dvjP1PbWrFclCTa2YBlmCU2cCdVDVf1bWgipiHRollgiwCvDMK2iAZ8wJOOneQW2UDa8F230_izPk1Kd3kjbBdDyl8HfEMAESq4npFRt14_KINEY5K-w8UKkYsyMsm-pIqZcS8P/s640/P1110923.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Jamberry Nail Wraps are self-adhesive nail wraps that come in over 300 designs, that stick to your nail and last for up to two weeks. I've never used nail wraps from any brand so I was keen to give them a try, but my first task is to watch the video tutorial on Charlotte's website <a href="https://charlottespencer.jamberry.com/uk/en/help/how-to-apply-nails" rel="nofollow">HERE</a> and prepare!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEip1I2aqQ-Bi2gmK-0Yc3Gj1PFhRCURDBux-IIRAfSzB6GDsiAN6km5ULcP2TziTgjaIVP67e-DTJMik1KTqT5tyx2E-zxhIgctLtRBxfLaig_KbPvKm5E_ORAkfs_1PdPaTfGL0Ct-EvmH/s1600/P1110932.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEip1I2aqQ-Bi2gmK-0Yc3Gj1PFhRCURDBux-IIRAfSzB6GDsiAN6km5ULcP2TziTgjaIVP67e-DTJMik1KTqT5tyx2E-zxhIgctLtRBxfLaig_KbPvKm5E_ORAkfs_1PdPaTfGL0Ct-EvmH/s640/P1110932.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
The first job is to remove any old nail varnish, file the nail tips, and gently push back the cuticle. Then use the Jamberry Nail Prep Wipe to thoroughly cleanse the nail ready for the nail wrap.</div>
<br />
Next is to gently grab the individual nail wrap with tweezers, then warm up the adhesive backing using a Jamberry heater for 3-5 seconds. If you don't have one, a hairdryer will also work!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiNmPXzScwrXdNb-yoVeuPo3lbtf-FY7AZqBWrjXTr5ZSh_1CY1fRmCtijiR-yxAIte_ifNmzoPW8bJv3aGi7isQLas4ZDcMm1fOBrg-nqNjy9AD1MoAUkT_nkadFYIamUleAsO-bups-xb/s1600/P1110937.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiNmPXzScwrXdNb-yoVeuPo3lbtf-FY7AZqBWrjXTr5ZSh_1CY1fRmCtijiR-yxAIte_ifNmzoPW8bJv3aGi7isQLas4ZDcMm1fOBrg-nqNjy9AD1MoAUkT_nkadFYIamUleAsO-bups-xb/s640/P1110937.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Now is the crucial step as you need to apply the nail wrap to the nail in one straight motion. I found it easier to line up the curved edge of the nail wrap to just above my cuticle line worked perfectly, then using the pad of my opposite thumb to press the nail wrap onto the rest of the nail, ensuring no air bubbles and that all edges are adhered fully.<br />
<br />
I used a dainty pair of nail scissors to trim the excess from the tip of the nail, then used a rough-grit nail file in a downward motion to ensure the nail wrap ends at my natural nail.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi4xEIgPRSlF-PGVwtka5dFG5yWR2MQGQCZsmYTPONRCvdVGmQhtlO8bW6Y0NcsAmblWgydq9_hSNJjkTfX9YY0hqSoSO_t5DF20b_fDpzHFPZ2y1fd2JDlDvSxV6fdeF2bxVNSCoVmSsfW/s1600/P1110940.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi4xEIgPRSlF-PGVwtka5dFG5yWR2MQGQCZsmYTPONRCvdVGmQhtlO8bW6Y0NcsAmblWgydq9_hSNJjkTfX9YY0hqSoSO_t5DF20b_fDpzHFPZ2y1fd2JDlDvSxV6fdeF2bxVNSCoVmSsfW/s640/P1110940.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Voila! Check them out! It took me just under an hour to apply the full set of Jamberry Nail Wraps on both hands, but that also includes stopping to take photos for this blog post, plus my <a href="http://www.instagram.com/ViccyVlogs">Instagram</a>!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEipDj1YfIkBVAhj1m5ex_GlBYFp6gWObC-saFlhghHTQdplnVUOMghhJB5mcyGyi1Ak_2BC60DphEaQK4-uhdilgXPjUYTjD926qTrbdL6nGe9eVcXOhcPuwMmw3_xJu9Hpi_gd-dkaqt4z/s1600/P1110949.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEipDj1YfIkBVAhj1m5ex_GlBYFp6gWObC-saFlhghHTQdplnVUOMghhJB5mcyGyi1Ak_2BC60DphEaQK4-uhdilgXPjUYTjD926qTrbdL6nGe9eVcXOhcPuwMmw3_xJu9Hpi_gd-dkaqt4z/s640/P1110949.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I was really impressed with how simple these are to apply: it just takes time & patience to do (and ideally no kiddiwinks around to knock your elbows!).<br />
<br />
I have quite soft flaky nails, and usually nail polish lasts only 24 hours on me before it starts to chip or peel, so I was really impressed when my Jamberry Nail Wraps lasted over a week! At the one week mark, there was minor damage on the nail tip on my right and left pointer fingers but a quick file solved that. At 1 week 3 days, I started to get some edge lifting on a few nails so off they went!<br />
<br />
To take the wraps off is simple. You don't need anything special, just a cotton pad soaked in standard nail varnish remover! After removing the dainty Butterfly Garden wraps, I can confirm my nails were still in very good condition.<br />
<br />
<i>Viccy's Tip: Watch the 'how to apply' video several times, and make sure you have everything to hand BEFORE you start the process of applying your Jamberry Nail Wraps! </i><br />
<br />
Thank you to Charlotte for allowing me to trial a set of Jamberry Nail Wraps! I'm really impressed, and already eyeing up what designs to buy, including <a href="https://charlottespencer.jamberry.com/uk/en/shop/products/sheet-music-" rel="nofollow">Sheet Music</a> and <a href="https://charlottespencer.jamberry.com/uk/en/shop/products/afternoon-tea" rel="nofollow">Afternoon Tea</a>. I'm loving the detailed designs, especially the designs that could never be done simply with a nail art brush or dotting tool. It's like having pieces of art displayed proudly on your nails!<br />
<br />
Check out Charlotte's <a href="http://charlottespencer.jamberry.com/" rel="nofollow">website</a> and <a href="http://charlottespencer.jamberry.com/" rel="nofollow">Facebook</a>, and tell her Viccy from the Jelly Rose Blog sent you.<br />

<br />
The May school half-term holiday certainly was a mix of sunshine followed by a downpour of rain! Thankfully, this DVD of twelve much-loved episodes of CBeebies programmes did the trick when we were stuck inside.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Scarlett, who was four in March, adored this DVD as it contained all her favourites, including The Furchester Hotel and Topsy & Tim. And Tristan, despite turning 7 next month, enjoyed the simplicity of Teletubbies and the hilarity of watching the Twirlywoos trying to escape from a bathroom! </div>

This DVD is over 2 hours long, with the following episodes<br />
<br />

<br />
<b>Twirlywoos</b>: The Twirlywoos comes from far away, seeking adventures wherever they go. Join Great BigHoo, Toodloo, Chickedy and Chick for their adventures on The Big Red Boat. In 'Coming and Going', the Twirlywoos watch a man as he runs a bath. They want to leave their hiding place to investigate, but the man keeps coming back! This episode is linked to the going back and forth schema (a schema is the patterns children follow to develop their own ideas).<br />
<br />
<b>In The Night Garden</b>: Share in the magical Night Garden world with Igglepiggle, Upsy Daisy, Makka Pakka and friends. In 'Look At What The Ball Did', the ball bounces all over the garden. It accidentally knocks over Makka Pakka's pile of stones, so Makka Pakka rebuilds it and tries to protect it.<br />
<br />
<b>Peter Rabbit</b>: Beatrix Potter's wonderful stories have charmed and entertained children for generations. Now fans can enjoy the brand new adventures of her timeless children's classic Peter Rabbit from the new animated series. In 'The One That Got Away', when Peter and his friends encounter the legendary "Jack Sharp", a large trout that even Peter's father failed to catch, they try to reel the fish in once and for all. But catching a fish is a lot harder than it looks.<br />
<br />
<b>Topsy and Tim</b>: Inspired by the books by Jean and Gareth Adamson, Topsy and Tom, is a live action drama inspired by the small stuff in little people's lives. In 'New Pet', Topsy and Tim love caring for their new pet rabbit but struggle to agree on his name. When they notice how wriggly his nose is, they know just what to call him!<br />
<br />
<b>Mike the Knight</b>: Mike is an energetic, cheeky yet bountiful young knight-in-training, driven by his passion to help others and, along the way, be the best knight his can be. In 'Hidden Garden Games' when Mike, Evie and the Queen have a competition in the Hidden Garden, Mike learns that it's good to let everyone have a turn to play, and it's even better when everyone plays together!<br />
<br />
<b>The Furchester Hotel</b>: The Furchester Hotel is an 'almost' world-class hotel run by a close-knit family of cheerfully chaotic monsters. The series introduces brand new characters and also welcomes the beloved Elmo and Cooking Monster from Sesama Street. In 'Furchester on Wheels' Funella overhears the tortoise guests say the hotel service is slow, slow, slow. She is determined to make it fast, fast, fast.<br />
<br />
<b>Octonauts</b>: Join Captain Barnacles and crew on their animated underwater adventures. In 'Mimic Octopus', Peso is gathering red algae to cure the sick vegimals but needs the help of a Mimic Octopus to scare off a Moray eel, who uses its striped tentacles to pretend to be a group of poisonous sea snakes.<br />
<br />
<b>Q Pootle 5</b>: Join Pootle and his friends on the planet Okidoki. Pootle and Oopsy travel to a distant special crater which produces huge bubbles. They have a great time until a large bubble envelopes Pootle's spaceship and floats off with it. Now Pootle and Oopsy are stranded on the other side of Okidoki unless<br />
they can think of a way of getting home.<br />
<br />
<b>Ruff-Ruff, Tweet & Dave</b>: Join in the fun with Hatty, Ruff-Ruff, Tweet and Dave as they go on magical adventures. In 'A Birthday Party Adventure', Ruff-Ruff, Tweet and Dave celebrate Hatty's birthday by playing all his favourite party games. They also find him a surprise birthday gift along the way.<br />
<br />
<b>Chuggington</b>: Take to the rails with the Chuggineers. In 'Koko's Puppy Training', Koko finds a lost puppy and wants to keep it, but she realises a little girl is looking for the puppy and decides that she needs to take him home.<br />
<br />
<b>Cloudbabies</b>: Who looks after the sky? The Cloudbabies do! In 'Rain, Rain, Rain' the rain has kept the Cloudbabies inside and Bobo White is bored. Baba Yellow suggests they play a game of 'Favourite Things'.<br />

<br />
How are we all? Guess who was asked to play with more Younique makeup? Me! This time, I was asked by my friend Kerry to give the Splurge cream eyeshadows and the Moodstruck Addiction shadow palettes a try.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhnC_CxQs2ungRE4utfVklH4XHvUwOjjMshyphenhyphenetPeDU_G0aPehjhcRNGitDmTQezIuxmXqVaX0x08vPFEOc449Zb72qWva_lvBvu9xl5Lhf1FPb044Y-yq17-sPrQqxW7MyOM2pi7lZNNX7E/s1600/P1110821.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhnC_CxQs2ungRE4utfVklH4XHvUwOjjMshyphenhyphenetPeDU_G0aPehjhcRNGitDmTQezIuxmXqVaX0x08vPFEOc449Zb72qWva_lvBvu9xl5Lhf1FPb044Y-yq17-sPrQqxW7MyOM2pi7lZNNX7E/s640/P1110821.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
It was mega fun playing with Younique makeup back in November 2015 (see <a href="http://jellyroseyate.blogspot.co.uk/2015/11/creating-fun-looks-with-younique-makeup.html">HERE</a>) so I was keen to explore new makeup ideas & techniques.<br />

<div style="text-align: center;">
<i><br /></i></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Here is everything I borrowed from <a href="https://www.youniqueproducts.com/kerrywidera" rel="nofollow">independent Younique presenter Kerry Widera</a> for this blog post! I also used some of my own makeup, including Touch Mineral Liquid Foundation in Scarlett and the 3D Fibre Moodstruck mascara. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhkQdsyizdGkrSmcZeBeQxXYYahgnHv462oZSYQDal4MyGIuzzyIN4wU3P4hJVqD1PsIQ-FVOkh7OFbgoOble1W7CScmxfgCFmOVEwTWC71e1Isb3R9Hzzl9Ki6AHiWz1wTAgD94wtvSSC-/s1600/P1110831.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhkQdsyizdGkrSmcZeBeQxXYYahgnHv462oZSYQDal4MyGIuzzyIN4wU3P4hJVqD1PsIQ-FVOkh7OFbgoOble1W7CScmxfgCFmOVEwTWC71e1Isb3R9Hzzl9Ki6AHiWz1wTAgD94wtvSSC-/s640/P1110831.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
First things first, here are the Splurge pots! These are cream eye-shadows, in shimmery shades, which glide on beautifully, and blend together easily. The formula also means the more layers of colour you apply, the more vivid the results.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJ7RUUF9bUMDGgsOYF_HVarBlUAenGaqqcTdtMyU2A5_bj08y9_yO9KtW27U_tT45fQ036a8XsipKw6aZT-90F1vE5hhLwI5ru1p7XpKhGoJnkRSMiS6AFml2dyYG3xXlsboC-lXI08CZk/s1600/P1110840.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJ7RUUF9bUMDGgsOYF_HVarBlUAenGaqqcTdtMyU2A5_bj08y9_yO9KtW27U_tT45fQ036a8XsipKw6aZT-90F1vE5hhLwI5ru1p7XpKhGoJnkRSMiS6AFml2dyYG3xXlsboC-lXI08CZk/s640/P1110840.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
As someone who is used to the traditional pressed powder eyeshadows, I was keen to see how these cream shadows that have an almost jelly-like consistency are applied.<br />
<br />
I dabbed an ordinary eye shadow brush into the cream eyeshadow, then gently pressed the colour onto my primed eye lids (important to dab/pat, instead of applying in a wiping motion), and this meant I had full control of the results. The creamy formula also meant there was no fall-out on my cheeks to clear away!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjCGU2JG9GrhNLmv9X-PG4bP2VCsQivYMo-mjC7M071qutdh-UQ5I3WFJk84WTTXSWaQ3JoPyn6jdQBKhE1Vv-fdHJqS6pex65kDGP7KC8orkPIWehsIKfZZaSZEwaJjy6aR_87qtt9gr6-/s1600/P1110855.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjCGU2JG9GrhNLmv9X-PG4bP2VCsQivYMo-mjC7M071qutdh-UQ5I3WFJk84WTTXSWaQ3JoPyn6jdQBKhE1Vv-fdHJqS6pex65kDGP7KC8orkPIWehsIKfZZaSZEwaJjy6aR_87qtt9gr6-/s640/P1110855.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
This is "Majestic": a deep Cadbury purple, with lots of shimmery blue, mauve & lilac tones. A stunning colour that immediately caught my eye!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEifv_oZIhOeK99j_leqvXtvGsEJccxgaPODPykc6OfRRX5JfYF8J-fiwbMKBsw6926j30TcaTokgcL4bdBx57oQaVfYP2A4iWNc45wC9jwXGF3PQyKJl0Or3FkJW3qnFBqh6ICtzZL9ecNo/s1600/P1110858Edit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEifv_oZIhOeK99j_leqvXtvGsEJccxgaPODPykc6OfRRX5JfYF8J-fiwbMKBsw6926j30TcaTokgcL4bdBx57oQaVfYP2A4iWNc45wC9jwXGF3PQyKJl0Or3FkJW3qnFBqh6ICtzZL9ecNo/s640/P1110858Edit.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Here are the three Moodstruck Addiction Shadow Palettes. All three have a mix of matte & shimmer colours, that can be used all together for a blendable smokey eyed look.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEid-mWgCXwQe5-6t0GLnvet7jNaf0ttFLX1Io29mSm8Bdq0gzZVvkfE0dnMwvFhYEitY4BR2g8c9SrK0xTiYtEXSJL7oWXmgZpUCicjNlfIcw65jSc7nJt4tvgYwF8a2Od0CnOIudYjQnwy/s1600/P1110867.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEid-mWgCXwQe5-6t0GLnvet7jNaf0ttFLX1Io29mSm8Bdq0gzZVvkfE0dnMwvFhYEitY4BR2g8c9SrK0xTiYtEXSJL7oWXmgZpUCicjNlfIcw65jSc7nJt4tvgYwF8a2Od0CnOIudYjQnwy/s640/P1110867.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
As someone who has an oily skin type, I do have problems with my eye makeup creasing and not lasting very long. As well as making the eye makeup last longer, the Eye Primer does a fantastic job of creating a smooth, even & neutral base.<br />
<br />
Viccy's Tip! Don't forget to also apply a small amount under the lower lash line if you like applying a smudge of eyeshadow there.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiLHxRo4p_3M9Eu7BT7LnpqjzVrA0Bmo5cOcbqJiYFCcq-DRGR-3-R0MYzYEuAPWuV0wf0hqtEGEitYpw2UHB-HvZQQNZnMaH4LYVTWvD9r7yX_C2OPtF1TVED8XWbjbzWSGDPX9xtYPMp2/s1600/P1110882.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiLHxRo4p_3M9Eu7BT7LnpqjzVrA0Bmo5cOcbqJiYFCcq-DRGR-3-R0MYzYEuAPWuV0wf0hqtEGEitYpw2UHB-HvZQQNZnMaH4LYVTWvD9r7yX_C2OPtF1TVED8XWbjbzWSGDPX9xtYPMp2/s640/P1110882.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
One of the bonus items I was also asked to play with, was the Beachfront Bronzer with the co-ordinating Powder Puff Brush. As I'm naturally very pale, I don't often use bronzer as it's rarely the correct shade, but this one was a soft golden colour. And with one half being matte and the other side shimmer, I could apply a small amount of the matte colour for a subtle sunkissed glow.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiGF5uYAqL0zkTp_AR-tKeW-f6Lz4RKUcZ6dBp03p0t5A7BHQgjHCBkn8YVQQwXxzowVsCyUrcPLVcYmGChnKqL4TkbjtNT-pSVKnhX8pjv6VCSZ0vDr2uLwI712cEpV3FF8bJ11ZogkAov/s1600/P1110888Edit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="478" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiGF5uYAqL0zkTp_AR-tKeW-f6Lz4RKUcZ6dBp03p0t5A7BHQgjHCBkn8YVQQwXxzowVsCyUrcPLVcYmGChnKqL4TkbjtNT-pSVKnhX8pjv6VCSZ0vDr2uLwI712cEpV3FF8bJ11ZogkAov/s640/P1110888Edit.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: left;">
Here is look #1 using the Moodstruck Addiction Palette #3</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Colours: Tickled, Cheeky & Smitten</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I applied Tickles all over the eye lid, followed by Cheeky in the crease area, ensuring it's well blended. A tiny smudge of Smitten was applied on the centre of the eye lid, followed by another smudge of Cheeky on the lower lash line. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh_5sSxRTEcafjhDlneq0ymAyuyBoWnSt-QiKFWjy-skya9Xq6BqhEA8x6gzxRFPhtcMFXof5jmb45tFGQTMnqOoqoGQc7tKwxciRGT74InufxQbSFTpVZJQhR57O-Hj5qZWbs0HAgnSqJM/s1600/P1110889Edit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="478" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh_5sSxRTEcafjhDlneq0ymAyuyBoWnSt-QiKFWjy-skya9Xq6BqhEA8x6gzxRFPhtcMFXof5jmb45tFGQTMnqOoqoGQc7tKwxciRGT74InufxQbSFTpVZJQhR57O-Hj5qZWbs0HAgnSqJM/s640/P1110889Edit.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>

I then went on to explore the Splurge combinations, and decided on Dainty, Tenacious, Dreamy and Elegant, for a golden bronzey look.<br />

<br />
Next up I tried something a little out of the box, by using Splurge cream shadow in Fickle as an eye liner! I simply applied Fickle using an angled eye liner brush to both my upper and lower lash line, using several thin layers to create the pop of blue around the eyes. I kept the rest of my face neutral with foundation (I'm Younique shade Scarlet) and the Beachfront Bronzer, plus eye brow pencil and black mascara.<br />

This is a really delightful animated series that Scarlett is loving to watch every day after nursery, and it's so sweet to see her enthusiastically watch something from my childhood. My favourite character was Mrs Tiggy-Winkle! Even Tristan was mesmorised by the cartoons, and enjoys watching cheeky Peter Rabbit's adventures.<br />

Hello everyone! </div>
<div style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<br />
Today I'm featuring local mum Kim Vallis here on my family lifestyle blog. She's a 30 year old mum who's just started an epic journey to complete 16 sporty challenges in 2016 whilst raising money & awareness for charities close to her heart.</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<br /></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
Here's her story in her own words...<br />
<br />

<br />
People say that having a baby when you are younger, say in your twenties, is easier than in later years. You have a young body, more energy and you can bounce back after birth. Personally, having a baby in my twenties was anything but easy and life alongside it was worse.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjeha9A5c0YD1OZiEd7uuzNfdIb6tM58V7MQDCc8qi0tDEt0ZZtix3r24UpEzJyLfneis7Ei3yf9Zt2GTG5G5-AUu9197g2LhEoy87p7FnqBZa03eyjlJ7XAU6rwVQqFAIoNUFlJqO1QIjh/s1600/Kim3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjeha9A5c0YD1OZiEd7uuzNfdIb6tM58V7MQDCc8qi0tDEt0ZZtix3r24UpEzJyLfneis7Ei3yf9Zt2GTG5G5-AUu9197g2LhEoy87p7FnqBZa03eyjlJ7XAU6rwVQqFAIoNUFlJqO1QIjh/s400/Kim3.jpg" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
I gave birth when I was 23 years old and in an abusive and violent marriage. The relationship had always been volatile although without hindsight, I never knew how badly it had got until I look back; I didn't realise at the time I was suffering domestic abuse. I thought I was a bad wife, that I caused the arguments and that I pushed my luck; I felt sorry for my ex-husband and I wanted to fix him. The abuse went from bad to worse during the pregnancy and after giving birth, it hit a whole new level. With a baby of four months old, I fled the marital home with nothing more than the clothes on my back, a changing bag and the buggy. My parents were good enough to put my son and me up for a few weeks whilst I sorted things out. With a routine visit from my heath visitor a week into my stay, it all suddenly became shockingly clear what I had escaped from and how I was a victim of Domestic Abuse. My health visitor referred me to 1:1 counselling as well as an educational workshop, run by a local charity called <a href="http://survivedv.org.uk/">Survive</a>, The Freedom Programme. This 12 week course changed my life; it educated me on what I was experiencing, gave it names and made me feel in control again. I had strength to fight my abuser for a divorce as well as through the court system regarding child access, with the assistance of a trained Survive IDVA. Survive gave me courage, knowledge and support at a time when I had lost my identity and lost my way.<br />
<br />
After a couple of years, my life had settled into a comfortable and predictable routine of part time work, toddler groups and a safe home. Getting through the storm gave me an opportunity to focus on other parts of my life I had neglected; myself and my body. Jumping around in soft plays and at kids parties on the bouncy castle with a toddler had started a secret about my body that I pushed to one side when coughing and sneezing. With a hyperactive 3 year old, I couldn't hide myself away from the bouncy, jumpy, strenuous activities that he and his peers like to do and it came to the crunch with wet knickers at a kid's party when I had to seek help for another problem: Stress Urinary Incontinence. Great, I was 26 years old and had to wear Tena Ladies designed for post-menopausal women! How embarrassing it was, walking into the GP's room and telling her all my wet knicker stories of stuck wellies, lifting shopping bags and messy coughs and colds. I had done pelvic floor muscle exercises as I was told to do after having my son, but obviously I didn't do them well enough. The GP referred me to a SUI Nurse at the local health centre who kindly tried her best with what she was given. However with electro-pulse therapy and exercises, my pelvic floor was past the point of no return. After a year, I was referred to an Uro-gynae team who offered a quick and easy repair with a mesh sling called a TVT. Brilliant! It sounds great doesn't it, non-evasive surgery with great results and no side effects. I was booked in and looked forward to being an active mother, able to conquer the biggest soft play slide and bounciest bouncy castle.<br />
<br />
The pain was horrendous when I came round from the anaesthetic, so much so I was on morphine and it still only just took the edge off. Surely this would calm down? Nope. For months I tried to see the surgeon for my post-op appointment for him to have a look and see what was wrong. There was a lump in my groin near to where the TVT tape was positioned and touching it, even clothes rubbing it, cause electric and fiery pain. I was also suffering with visual migraines which at the time was associated to the contraceptive pill, so I stopped taking it.<br />
<br />
Eventually, after 18 months fighting my corner and investigations it was decided the lump was a loop in the mesh and that if the small bit of tape of excised, the pain would improve. More surgery it was and guess what, it only went from bad to worse with the pain. I had numb spots on my actual groin and shooting pain down the whole of my left leg. I could hardly walk, only limp, and driving the car with a clutch was impossible. The worse part of it was my wedding, to the love of my life Tony, was booked and only several weeks away. I rested with my feet up for weeks, taking nerveblocking painkillers called Pregabalin and coping as well as I could at work and at home. The week before the wedding I was in tears and eventually the surgeon offered an anaesthetic and steroid injection to just get me through the big day, as well as recommending a full removal of the TVT sling. Seriously?! What else could go wrong? It was at this desperate time I learn of a campaign called "Sling the Mesh" as one of its members was in the Daily Mail claiming the TVT surgery she had caused her the same symptoms and pain I was suffering. From the Sling the Mesh Facebook page, I also became aware of a local Bristol charity called <a href="http://www.tvt-messed-up-mesh.org.uk/">TVT-MUM (Messed Up Mesh)</a> which had even more information, advice, guidance, a forum and a local support group of ladies in the same boat. It was a relief to know I wasn't alone and thanks to the fantastic advice of the ladies, I had ideas and options on the next steps.<br />
<br />
Tony's and my wedding day was a wonderful and happy day. I managed to walk down the aisle and wear high heels for part of the day, have a first dance and enjoy mingling with guests from one end of the venue to the other. The injection had worked for the Big Day but by the day after, it had worn off. So hubby and I moved forward with the plan to get the TVT mesh sling removed. I booked an appointment to see a recommended surgeon privately and the appointment was a bitter sweet experience. Yes, the mesh could be removed and the surgeon felt it would be successful considering my age (that "being young thing" again") for the nerve damage to be reversed, though it could take time. She would be able to do a quick fix using scar tissue to hold up, kind of splinting my bladder neck, so to reduce Stress Urinary Incontinence once the sling was out.<br />

<br />
It all sounded perfect except for one tiny MASSIVE detail, I was pregnant. At very nearly 30 years old, it was not the plan to have an unplanned pregnancy albeit within a happy marriage. I was on Pregabalin, a painkiller which has risks for pregnancy. Shock, sadness, happiness, anger, confusion and fear swept over me in seconds and lasted weeks. 6 weeks pregnant and I had no idea how or what to do next apart from suffer without the painkillers and take high dosage folic acid to combat the potential effects the Pregabalin had on the foetus. The next four weeks were a mix of anxiety and happiness, our heads managed to get around being parents again and if Little Dot could get here despite the obstacles we put in her way, then we were routing for her all the way albeit with my leg pain getting worse and worse, day by day.<br />
<br />
Panic. It was pure panic coming out of my mouth as I screamed down the phone at Tony that I was bleeding. It was heavy, bright red and not stopping. I should never have felt angry or upset when I found out about Little Dot. I took it all back in a prayer and apology, whilst in the car on the way to the hospital. Southmead Hospital's Early Pregnancy Assessment Unit (E.A.P.U) was a weird place with seats, a water cooler and a big screen TV on the wall showing Cash in the Attic. It was a strange feeling of being in limbo, sitting and waiting quietly, with tummy cramps and bleeding whilst all around me other women and some partners were sat with their own feelings of apprehension. My name was called and Tony & I walked into a room with a sonographer and midwife. The scan was carried out in silence whilst the pair looked for signs of a healthy 10 week old baby. "How many weeks are you Mrs Vallis?" to which I replied that we were nearly ten weeks according to a scan I had four weeks prior, showing a 6 week old foetus.<br />
<br />
Missed miscarriage. That's what it is called, the type of miscarriage we had. It's where the baby stops developing but your body retains the pregnancy for days, even weeks later. Some women sadly find out at their 12 week scan that their bodies have tricked them into feeling pregnant, when in reality, their baby died silently. Our Little Dot carried on being stubborn for a couple of weeks, then I had to make the difficult decision to have her removed surgically, an ERPC. After the procedure, we were able to hold her and say a prayer with the Hospital Chaplain. Although not natural, in one way, it was a peaceful closure to be able to say goodbye to our baby and goodbye to the reality that was no more. During this heartbreaking time, I logged into the <a href="http://www.miscarriageassociation.org.uk/">Miscarriage Association</a> website to look at the "normal" symptoms and outcomes of miscarriage. I found out there are so many different types of miscarriage and that so many women and their families go through this sadness and loss, 1 in 4 pregnancies in fact. I also explored their forum and found so many women in the same situation as me. Their advice, sympathy and empathy was incredibly meaningful and helpful to me. So much courage and strength, emptiness and guilt, in one safe quiet place. The Miscarriage Association helped me through. It gave me hope.<br />
<br />
As soon as I recovered physically from the miscarriage, my next mission was to book my TVT removal surgery. On 5th December 2015, I was limping down a hospital corridor to my future and to the theatre. The surgery was a success and all looked great from the skilled surgeon's point of view (between my legs). I recovered incredibly well and although the pains became worse to begin with, the fiery hot electric pains eventually eased off. So much so that I stopped taking the Pregabalin after 4 weeks.<br />
<br />
It's now 11 weeks after my TVT removal surgery and I feel 97% better, physically and mentally, than I did 8 months ago. The pains are milder and very few and far between, the movement in the my left leg has returned and I'm able to drive my manual car, walk down the road, and even run after my son. Okay, I do have some mild urinary leaking, but not a lot and not very often. Small mercy's as they say. So with this new found zest for life in my thirties, I want to say thank you to the charities that helped me through my tough and twisting twenties. </div>

Kimberley's Charity Challenges is my way of saying thanks to Survive, TVT-MUM, The Miscarriage Association and Southmead's EPAU. It's also a way to raise awareness of these "taboo" health matters that women and their families suffer in silence, in embarrassment, in guilt and in fear. I want to show people that there is life after sorrow and suffering and to fight on through life's challenges. I am undertaking 16 sporty challenges in the first part of 2016 and hoping to raise £1,000 through donations along the way. I have already completed mini-motorbiking, swimming and rock climbing and have raised £300 so far. With a Just Giving donation page, Facebook and Twitter pages and YouTube channel, sponsors and donators can join in and watch the challenges undertaken. There is also an opportunity to vote for the 16th and final challenge with options of zip wire, abseiling and trapeze - not good for someone terrified of heights!<br />

<br />
There's only four sleeps til Christmas Day, and Family Howe are getting really excited! These next few weeks are a fantastic time away from work, school & nursery to bond and enjoy time together as a family of four. It's a great opportunity to relax, spend time in each others company, and do things as a family.<br />
<br />

<i>This year, I'm sporting a My Little Pony Christmas Jumper</i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i>Available from Truffle Shuffle</i></div>
<br />
With the weather outside cold, wet and dark, it's a nice change to simply chill on the sofa together, cosy in a big fleecy blanket, hot chocolates all round, rummaging through a tin of delicious chocolates, and watching our favourite festive holiday movies on the telly.<br />
<br />
But, what are our favourite movies for the festive season? It's time for a countdown!<br />
<br />
10) National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation<br />
9) Jason & the Argonauts<br />
8) Home Alone<br />
7) Gremlins<br />
6) Die Hard<br />
5) Edward Scissorhands<br />
4) Muppet's Christmas Carol<br />
3) Love Actually<br />
2) Elf<br />
1)......it's gotta be the entire Harry Potter movie series! What else were you expecting from a Potterhead?<br />
<br />
Which films are you looking forward to watch over Christmas?<br />
<br />

Happy Monday friends! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I hope you all had a lovely festive weekend: did you know there's only 18 sleeps til Christmas Day? </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Over the past week, I've been enjoying this book that immerses you into a mysterious but decaying fairytale world. This book is a tween-friendly horror story, that is fun and flawless. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<i>Meet Caitlin Fletcher, age fourteen. Caitlyn's life takes a sharp turn for the worse when she's tricked into climbing down a "rabbit hole", landing in a wondrous fairy tale universe - except it's crawling with savage, blood-eyed zombies.</i></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
As you all will probably know, I love my horror! Whether it's watching movies, reading books, watching horror Let's Plays or experimenting with SFX makeup, that numbing fear of not knowing what could be around the corner is addictive to me. As this book is aimed at children aged 8+, this is (obviously) a reasonably tame story, but for a horror-fiend like me, I still adored the twists and turns, and it was an easy read too (which being a busy working & blogging mum was a lovely change of pace). </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhZ1crndZGqoIsxMEx5KKgxoUvIP-i_6qwgijT-E1PAp3M7Yx7NwLjwMS27zdbiQ-Sd7G6M197YzS7xMVeX_3T_S16QH3UoyHLINFUhPlwIwZmM8W6a0RRnbQUkeZxkjbbq4fzajUuVqWXl/s1600/P1110321.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhZ1crndZGqoIsxMEx5KKgxoUvIP-i_6qwgijT-E1PAp3M7Yx7NwLjwMS27zdbiQ-Sd7G6M197YzS7xMVeX_3T_S16QH3UoyHLINFUhPlwIwZmM8W6a0RRnbQUkeZxkjbbq4fzajUuVqWXl/s640/P1110321.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
As well as the story, I absolutely love the book cover: it's a zombie-eqsue Cinderella! Inspired to do a quick makeup & hair look, I went ahead and transformed myself: what do you all think? </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhL7WwWAI6LSW_E9uGXTZ_mecqDf7pxHRjud7RTBjqyn99KfS8lWCVxN_tTBlffVna-OejXO1L92Dt905yDVPaPecmyVD-0oMFULC3QyI03P_0HP7PefftCoyp7WYy72DZVv3bou2Y94hkj/s1600/PicMonkey+Collage.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhL7WwWAI6LSW_E9uGXTZ_mecqDf7pxHRjud7RTBjqyn99KfS8lWCVxN_tTBlffVna-OejXO1L92Dt905yDVPaPecmyVD-0oMFULC3QyI03P_0HP7PefftCoyp7WYy72DZVv3bou2Y94hkj/s640/PicMonkey+Collage.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
I started with the vertical wounds found on Cinderella's cheek, and I used a nude lipliner to mark where I wanted the scars. Over the top of the lipliner, I applied 5 light coats of rigid collodion (allowing each layer to dry) which tightens the skin giving that taut scar appearance. Once fully dry, I used a very fine paintbrush (mine actually came from a nail art set!) and painted on fine black lines (black face paint) over the collodion but also short horizontal lines for the stitches. A teeny bit of red face face paint was added to add irritation.<br />
<br />
The base of the entire face is a mix of light foundation, white face paint, and a smidge of blue face paint, all mixed together and blended into the skin. I used a kabuki brush with colbalt blue eyeshadow to contour, and dusted a light pale blue all over.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5ConATsMYbBTQC73pdbzuFRMi_TWEt0UNM8zy9NUaCc6OJGKPHAyE05uOT1CyhADnV1a4-qEqZPWPcDjXdOU6DzHuyQkyod-xtZqpsP5gFSB2zLIqmKAFFvcuH9zNUkDg9K0Kt6yy7xy4/s1600/P1110315New.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="478" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5ConATsMYbBTQC73pdbzuFRMi_TWEt0UNM8zy9NUaCc6OJGKPHAyE05uOT1CyhADnV1a4-qEqZPWPcDjXdOU6DzHuyQkyod-xtZqpsP5gFSB2zLIqmKAFFvcuH9zNUkDg9K0Kt6yy7xy4/s640/P1110315New.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Next is the eyes! I used a hot pink all over the lid, followed by a pumpkin-orange on top, ensuring to blend it together to create this coral colour. The same cobalt blue eyeshadow is then used generously on the lower part of the eye.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-weTeEbMwD4R2w_7gF19GSyAz5MTsKRUXb0RAeG9PS0tVDAp3fP2k1j4N6h40mcndRUgWYByonraYqkavT-gzfkU1SX_MifDF9hR9sfz65Pfio2BkfUGf4W0F24GYcLhC0qQuYp6ttZEV/s1600/12313990_10156237139360277_5737886798588904268_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-weTeEbMwD4R2w_7gF19GSyAz5MTsKRUXb0RAeG9PS0tVDAp3fP2k1j4N6h40mcndRUgWYByonraYqkavT-gzfkU1SX_MifDF9hR9sfz65Pfio2BkfUGf4W0F24GYcLhC0qQuYp6ttZEV/s640/12313990_10156237139360277_5737886798588904268_n.jpg" width="360" /></a></div>
<br />
I used a black liquid eyeliner to fully line my eyes, including the tear duct area, followed by a black kohl pencil to tight line. I kept my brows natural looking with just a gentle dusting of dark brown eyeshadow. I used a gentile red colour on my lips to exaggerate the animated look.<br />
<br />
On to the hair! I don't have enough hair for the double bun, so instead put my hair half-up into a very high pony tail. Then using a blonde doughnut, bobby-pinned my hair up. The hair that was left (including my side fringe) was straightened, then backcombed to add drama and volume. The final element is the crown...or in my case, this stunning hair accessory that I pushed into the base of the bun.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgA4UZY_BG_02S4RTb8yk5ssljWGWwk2Ukej2yUE4rmJSLFIZ5SHbvpbDZcwk6PBtZLjLtmqz-2lxP5_i2-q5FadDGaG48rYhcSGwXld3mAzScD3eFWpZncv7o-yJ_HTCTfmh_w0KoDFSQE/s1600/01.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="478" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgA4UZY_BG_02S4RTb8yk5ssljWGWwk2Ukej2yUE4rmJSLFIZ5SHbvpbDZcwk6PBtZLjLtmqz-2lxP5_i2-q5FadDGaG48rYhcSGwXld3mAzScD3eFWpZncv7o-yJ_HTCTfmh_w0KoDFSQE/s640/01.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
This was such a fun and easy look to recreate! Will you give it a go? Who should I do next?<br />
<br />

Happy Sunday friends, </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
We all love the Happy song from Pharrell Williams that was a humongous hit back in 2013 with the release of the Despicable Me 2 movie (Minions!!!), but did you know there's an accompanying book? It's the cutest book which features the lyrics from the song alongside adorable photos of happy, giggling children doing what makes them happy: dancing in the rain, pretending to be a monster, flying a kite, an astronaut, and more! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
To celebrate the book's release, we had a Happy Party where we explore all the things that make us happy. </div>

It's DECEMBER! Yes, Christmas 2015 is this month, my wonderful friends!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiu9SkSi63sPFZq9q2uxJSTK8N2p6SH8-xr1CEoa21QWiaMwGmPlpJZmNj61Z1FfYXyWgh25npxW4r6VE-F3yDF5TNoketu8X4nsBMYMv4IHs3NWCdtcQK8LFi6o60r7eC7iQhSjYxA-dEu/s1600/HelloDecember.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="478" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiu9SkSi63sPFZq9q2uxJSTK8N2p6SH8-xr1CEoa21QWiaMwGmPlpJZmNj61Z1FfYXyWgh25npxW4r6VE-F3yDF5TNoketu8X4nsBMYMv4IHs3NWCdtcQK8LFi6o60r7eC7iQhSjYxA-dEu/s640/HelloDecember.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
So, how are we all getting on with Christmas shopping? I think I'm 95% done with present shopping, but only 20% with food shopping. Which leads me to the most important question....what is your favourite Christmas snack?<br />
<br />
For me, it's those yummy cheese tubes of Primula with Ritz crackers. Oh, and Lindt Lindor chocolate truffles! And now I'm hungry, heehee.<br />
<br />
Do you wanna know where I found all the goodies featured in my photo?<br />
* Reusable fabric Santa advent calendar is from a local St Peter's Hospice charity shop<br />
* My amazing Christmas jumper (yes, it's My Little Pony!) is from Truffle Shuffle<br />
* I bought my Spiced Orange Yankee Candle from Amazon UK<br />
* My necklace is from New Look<br />
* Hair curled by my new purchase of a Babyliss curling wand<br />
<br />
24 sleeps til Christmas!<br />

<br />
It's hump day....no, not that! We're are officially over half-way through the week, aka over the hump, and we're getting closer to the weekend.<br />
<br />
Wednesday is always a good day to pamper yourself as it gives your skin a chance to settle after a good deep cleansing face mask before a fabulous weekend of fun.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgJydke48btK3P8C_kMaT4ymcYiFxSwVjn-0oZB8FsnK9wLxbOmYmpTEt13jcRGSIp6QhE1kgwymlXLyOr4aOYp0uC1fhJzJNOEHrqzsVLyKQoGER9-Otb8U6KIRh7iZZnHHGmImzsdryJR/s1600/11222340_10156184957020277_1458255160909792813_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="564" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgJydke48btK3P8C_kMaT4ymcYiFxSwVjn-0oZB8FsnK9wLxbOmYmpTEt13jcRGSIp6QhE1kgwymlXLyOr4aOYp0uC1fhJzJNOEHrqzsVLyKQoGER9-Otb8U6KIRh7iZZnHHGmImzsdryJR/s640/11222340_10156184957020277_1458255160909792813_n.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
But the question is, which <a href="http://www.my7thheaven.com/" rel="nofollow">7th Heaven</a> product do I want to use today? A foot soak? Hair masque? Face mask? Decisions decisions!<br />
<br />
Tonight, I'm going to go with lots of exotic fruit ones:<br />
* Coconut Protein Rescue Masque<br />
This boosts volume, and is designed for weak, dry or fine hair<br />
* Passion Peel-Off<br />
This helps peel away dead cells<br />
* Juiced Grapefruit Foot Soak and Pressed Mint Foot Lotion<br />
This moisturises and softens feet<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjLut4ua1Ryfu3OB0dOWAH2LbQ-sQ13JHf59Tcaqa9nwuA_UOEEnPTsXeDxAiQI-JEgU24HZaTEOhUs8Wgr1HMOgFPI5lxlAzbAjfFHaL7fK1Riar1k7jN8oUTzZUyP2iuHdzdimZvaZWC_/s1600/12279002_10156185001415277_6947293731851955279_nNEW.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="401" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjLut4ua1Ryfu3OB0dOWAH2LbQ-sQ13JHf59Tcaqa9nwuA_UOEEnPTsXeDxAiQI-JEgU24HZaTEOhUs8Wgr1HMOgFPI5lxlAzbAjfFHaL7fK1Riar1k7jN8oUTzZUyP2iuHdzdimZvaZWC_/s640/12279002_10156185001415277_6947293731851955279_nNEW.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Tonight's pampering began with the <a href="http://www.my7thheaven.com/" rel="nofollow">7th Heaven</a> Passion Peel-Off face mask which was luxuriously fragrant as soon as you ripped open the sachet! The pink gel inside was the perfect consistency and applied easily to my face without dripping. I will say that due to the pink/red hue of the mask, it did look like I had serious sunburn which amused the kiddiwinks!<br />
<br />
After waiting the 25 minutes for the mask to dry, it was time for the challenge that is "getting the peel-off mask off in one go"....and it was a success! My skin felt taught and refreshed, and so smooth!<br />
<br />
Next up, was to hop in the shower and use the <a href="http://www.my7thheaven.com/" rel="nofollow">7th Heaven</a> Coconut Protein Rescue Masque which I would describe as a deep conditioner for hair. You wash your hair as normal, then use the masque as a conditioner, leaving it in for up to 5 minutes. Like the Passion Peel-Off, the scent was so powerful! After rinsing and drying, my hair was definitely softer and had a lovely gentile shine (and I could still smell the coconut while blowdrying!).<br />
<br />
The final pampering element is the foot soak and lotion! What a treat! Especially with winter rolling in fast, I can neglect my feet, so it was heaven to spend a good 15-20 minutes with my toes soaking, followed by a nourishing smother of the lotion. I was so inspired with the foot pampering that I added a lick of berry-coloured polish to my nails.<br />
<br />

<br />
Today, I simply wanted to show off my Tristan as he recently started his Beaver journey, and on Sunday, I was so proud to witness him joining his troop in the parade at our local Remembrance Service!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjw_g5wgxBngoLhfxTnDBMZoBloXlljxaLvB7wF7gONCqrILFcP9ZEv0bXA3Q4tjqGSmjZDwJCQOa8G4o6LRJPPfXpd7NwpM8qJb-kQdSt7JG5XuPeMFg5HZlQ0S3XLBswM1FCdmkXwS8pb/s1600/TristanBeavers1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjw_g5wgxBngoLhfxTnDBMZoBloXlljxaLvB7wF7gONCqrILFcP9ZEv0bXA3Q4tjqGSmjZDwJCQOa8G4o6LRJPPfXpd7NwpM8qJb-kQdSt7JG5XuPeMFg5HZlQ0S3XLBswM1FCdmkXwS8pb/s400/TristanBeavers1.jpg" width="220" /></a></div>
<br />
Tristan was quite a shy and clingy infant, but starting school has nurtured his independence massively, and when I told him all about Beavers, he was so keen to join. While we waited for his place, he was so enthused and wanted his uniform immediately. When the time arrived for this first session, instead of the shy nervous boy I half-expected, out came a vibrant smiley boy that radiated confidence!<br />
<br />
Thank you Beavers: I know it's only been a little over a month, but you have fitted perfectly into Tristan's life and making him thrive!<br />

<br />
As many of you will know, I adore working and supporting local businesses, and today's blog post is courtesy of Younique Presenter, Claire from <a href="https://www.facebook.com/Beautifullyyouniqueclaireboulton" rel="nofollow">Younique with Claire</a>, who let me loose with her entire collection to get creative and see what fun looks I can come up with! As a thank you, Claire gave me the Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes+ mascara.<br />
<br />
All of the looks below started with a clean face using the Shine eye makeup remover cloths, followed by the Divine daily moisturiser and Glorious face & eye primer. The finale was two coats of the Moodstruck 3D Fibre Lashes+ mascara!<br />
<br />
Every single makeup look below was created solely using Younique products, including their brushes.<br />

<div style="text-align: center;">
I gave the impression of larger eyes by using the Moodstruck Precision Pencil Eyeliner in Pristine on my lower lash line, then a smudge of Perfect to to create a new lower lash line. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I used the Precision Brow Set in Medium on my brows, and gently joined the inner brows to the top of my nose contour to emphasise the deer's snout</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Moodstruck Precision Pencil Eyeliner in Perfect worked well at drawing on the deer nose, with a couple of applications of Moodstruck Opulance Lipstick in Swanky on the lips.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The final touch are the cute white specks found on young deers, which I applied using Moodstruck Precision Pencil Eyeliner in Pristine! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Voila! What do we all think of the four above looks? I really love playing with makeup and creating new looks, and it was so much fun using products from one brand to check its versatility! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
My favourite item was definitely the liquid foundation. It was the perfect shade for me (hallalujah), had the perfect coverage yet was lightweight, and wasn't sparkly (has anyone else noticed that many high street brands have slightly sparkly foundations??)<br />
<br />
I also adored the lip stains. With only two coats you get an amazing colour that stays on.<br />
<br />
If you want to know more about any Younique product, pop over to <a href="https://www.facebook.com/Beautifullyyouniqueclaireboulton/?pnref=lhc" rel="nofollow">Claire's Facebook page</a> or <a href="https://www.youniqueproducts.com/claireboulton" rel="nofollow">website</a> where Claire will be very happy to answer all your questions! <br />
1) Candles<br />
At the end of a long chilly day, there's nothing more calming than a seasonal scented candle. Its flickering flame creating shadows on the wall, and its subtle warming scent wafting through the air.<br />
This season, I've treated myself to Yankee's Spiced Orange<br />
<br />
2) Donning Cute Hats, Gloves and Scarves<br />
I admit it, after living in Munich for three years where they have many inches of snow each winter, I do have a pretty stunning collection of cold weather accessorioes!<br />
My favourite all-rounder has to be a simple pair of black leather gloves<br />
<br />
3) Dark Nail Polishes<br />
I love dark coloured nails but in the summer they look so out of place! So now is a great time to dig them out.<br />
I'm loving the deep dark red tones of Avon's Tweed<br />
<br />
4) Bubble Baths<br />
I've always loved a bubble bath but since I discovered Lush (I know, I know, how did it take me so long!) and their amazing array of bath products, I've stepped my night-time baths up a notch.<br />
<div style="text-align: left;">
I adore Lush's Dragon Egg bath ballistic</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<br />
5) Boots<br />
I love boots. Give me a pair of chunky heeled lace-up boots any day! I love mixing boots with a dress & tights combo. It's so girly and cute, yet practical.<br />
I'll be wearing these boots a lot this Autumn!<br />
<br />

<br />
Say hello to 'Alexa', a female version of Alex from A Clockwork Orange: the 1971 film by Stanley Kubrick!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhnGpjSONY4PozE-1IOcOlISLc9poZFUNnFil50gIHhgrbVU1XjPx3TUyhgvkQxYG_dWBGhys8JK2RqUJzqkM05LR9G2I71Olv4oAs1jN5YBGm9SegbMz9vm12Q-OvEf2-EvpicVdSyNv_h/s1600/AClockworkOrange1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhnGpjSONY4PozE-1IOcOlISLc9poZFUNnFil50gIHhgrbVU1XjPx3TUyhgvkQxYG_dWBGhys8JK2RqUJzqkM05LR9G2I71Olv4oAs1jN5YBGm9SegbMz9vm12Q-OvEf2-EvpicVdSyNv_h/s640/AClockworkOrange1.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
My costume was made up<br />
1) White skinny jeans (I found mine in the post-summer sale in New Look)<br />
2) Basic white slightly-baggy top (again, found mine in the sale, this time at Tesco)<br />
3) Black bowler hat (mine's a cheap fancy dress version from Amazon)<br />
4) Eye-lashes from my makeup stash<br />
5) Black cane (again, I found mine over at Amazon)<br />
6) White shirt suspenders (from Amazon)<br />
7) Military-style black leather boots (already in my wardrobe!)<br />
<br />

<br />
We're all getting excited for Halloween tomorrow, and I thought today would be the perfect time to show you some very quick and easy (yes, really!) Halloween looks you can do with basic makeup and facepaints! Perfect for those individuals who enjoy Halloween at the last minute.<br />
<br />
<u>The Doll</u><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEglPfh7zTnjTMpNCtJQ4aZk1ki9g7WroW3McqDcQRuPTMcpT4qx9MpTK2V1uGF6xwTMQSNp6ywuUk8Wi6U35qy-ay75Cx5E8hk1ABf1yUj042yfJtz1g7kBjunuv7ZdhYm7_tgzBCFdD1nx/s1600/Halloween02.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEglPfh7zTnjTMpNCtJQ4aZk1ki9g7WroW3McqDcQRuPTMcpT4qx9MpTK2V1uGF6xwTMQSNp6ywuUk8Wi6U35qy-ay75Cx5E8hk1ABf1yUj042yfJtz1g7kBjunuv7ZdhYm7_tgzBCFdD1nx/s640/Halloween02.jpg" width="360" /></a></div>
<br />
1) I used a base of white face paint, followed by a dusting of white/translucent powder<br />
2) Then, I found a pink blusher (eye-shadow would work too) and applied liberally over the cheeks, along with a few freckles with a brown eye-liner pencil<br />
3) I did a neutral look on the eyes using cream-coloured eye-shadow on the lid, followed by light grey eye-shadow blended into the crease to add depth<br />
4) I lined the top of my eyes with a black liquid liner followed by a a couple of coats of mascara<br />
5) For my lower lash line, I used white face paint underneath to give the impression of larger eyes, which I lined with the liquid liner then drew on lower lashes<br />
6) I used red face paint, but of course you can use a bright red lipstick, on my lips and applied it in a heart shape exaggerating my cupid's bow.<br />
<br />
Team the look with a piggy tail hairstyle and a cute girly dress!<br />
<br />
<u>The Broken Doll</u><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjbYn9CR0CCcUqSrhD-cAMgNjlkFEWyfeaUUrE785Den_pSYYEIMbuMxFK1eqZJxBFThwYYAwgpBRbbUV2WjaTUcqS1OVR2Qs5L9A_rjCoW3w8jaklAVNwKyEuM-3pUaMI5giXLuQhAN_Dw/s1600/Halloween01.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjbYn9CR0CCcUqSrhD-cAMgNjlkFEWyfeaUUrE785Den_pSYYEIMbuMxFK1eqZJxBFThwYYAwgpBRbbUV2WjaTUcqS1OVR2Qs5L9A_rjCoW3w8jaklAVNwKyEuM-3pUaMI5giXLuQhAN_Dw/s640/Halloween01.jpg" width="360" /></a></div>
<br />
1) Start with the basic Doll makeup look above<br />
2) You can use either a black eye liner or black face paint for the next few steps, and I recommend Googling 'Broken Porcelain Doll' to mimic the breaks in porcelain<br />
3) I also drew in lines from either side of my lips, plus a few "stitches"<br />
<br />
<u>Gothic Inspired </u><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhnBgGiZP0n9XU7IfE42xpnh-1fb-mzQOQIPisZFvaxcD7Z1qeyqFgNF-ODv4TgBU-MjJgzmNYGMLimRKEE7XmVYaF9oXfIMrMisu8Ctkr1hqtPYifY2WrDtARUDPCD5Ghpo8u7q2IG9y_G/s1600/Halloween03.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhnBgGiZP0n9XU7IfE42xpnh-1fb-mzQOQIPisZFvaxcD7Z1qeyqFgNF-ODv4TgBU-MjJgzmNYGMLimRKEE7XmVYaF9oXfIMrMisu8Ctkr1hqtPYifY2WrDtARUDPCD5Ghpo8u7q2IG9y_G/s640/Halloween03.jpg" width="360" /></a></div>
<br />
1) I started with a near-white foundation, which I then set with a white powder<br />
2) I did a gentle contour using a light grey eye-shadow<br />
3) Using a black kohl eye liner, I filled in my eyebrows<br />
4) I used a dark grey eye-shadow on my eye lids, followed by a matte black on my crease, then blended well using a fluffy brush<br />
5) I lined my eyes and added a wing, using a black liquid liner<br />
6) I also tightlined my eyes with black waterproof eye liner, followed by a few lashings of mascara<br />
7) The final touch is black lip gloss!<br />
<br />
Wear an all black outfit with this look, and find a feature hair accessory to pull it all together!<br />
<br />
<u>Kitty Cat </u><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgz1JlPr27eNoFWcONDB53S4L90tCWvXcXoE0ckSqpPifbXAiNPm88_Uq93sLDKToCZ1FtybC0bREp14OHbL15vsgqPOEiWFiBYbfWot4AHDyTl0SxfpSyjj6UcnX18n8PB-fHJmH2JmpbP/s1600/Halloween4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgz1JlPr27eNoFWcONDB53S4L90tCWvXcXoE0ckSqpPifbXAiNPm88_Uq93sLDKToCZ1FtybC0bREp14OHbL15vsgqPOEiWFiBYbfWot4AHDyTl0SxfpSyjj6UcnX18n8PB-fHJmH2JmpbP/s640/Halloween4.jpg" width="360" /></a></div>
<br />
1) I started with my usual day-to-day base of foundation with a gentle contour and highlight<br />
2) On the eyes, I laid a base of light grey eye-shadow, then lined them with a liquid liner, making sure to draw in a wing. Don't forget a few coats of mascara!<br />
3) Using black face paint, I drew in cat's nose, lips, whiskers, and not forgetting the dots on the cheek, and the line between and nose and top lip<br />
<br />
Grab a pair of kitty ears, and you're done!<br />
<br />
Have a fun and safe Halloween everyone!<br />
Ciao<br />

Taylor Swift has claimed to be a frequent user of Keratase Bain Apres-soleil shampoo retailing at $36 a bottle; while Faith Hill has admitted to spending $40 on Moroccan Oil Treatment. So, how can the hair conscious consumer with only a couple of pounds to spend match that?<br />
<br />
Thankfully, this is where My 7th Heaven's hair masks really come into their element and show celebrities how to spend their hair budgets more wisely.<br />
<br />
Two of My 7th Heaven's most popular hair care products are their sumptuous Coconut Protein Hair Masque and their glossy goddess Manuka Honey Hair Masque. With both masks made by vegetarian animal lovers and retailing at only £1 per sachet, it's kind of hard not to want to pick on up from your local cosmetics store and give it a try.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhuZsepMKRMnpb9-eFI1LXODUDyiR0AHd8glR05Yzd0su8scjMsiwwBTGflEMUVFyXsE-zbghWGYLDUMaq3Ywoupz-WS5svmLnM40i5cyT5L7Tn5YU7HmdC_mIoc2O-w_9KwiOf0g3jhjtY/s1600/image1+%25287%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhuZsepMKRMnpb9-eFI1LXODUDyiR0AHd8glR05Yzd0su8scjMsiwwBTGflEMUVFyXsE-zbghWGYLDUMaq3Ywoupz-WS5svmLnM40i5cyT5L7Tn5YU7HmdC_mIoc2O-w_9KwiOf0g3jhjtY/s320/image1+%25287%2529.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Now, a little bit more about each of them...<br />
<br />
<b>Coconut Protein Hair Masque</b><br />
With the texture of a creamy coconut dew, the masque is enriched with nourishing protein dense Quinoa (pronounced 'Keenwa') grains. These two ingredients have been gently blended together making it a refreshing tropical substance. The quenching coconut oils feed thirsty hair while strengthening and volumising from the roots for uber hair happiness.<br />
<br />
<b>Manuka Honey Hair Masque</b><br />
Made with golden Manuka Honey (nature's pure miracle nectar) and nourishing Abyssinian Oil which is rich in Omega 3, this masque delivers intuition to the roots of damaged hair leaving follicles rich, and velvety. The masque can be further described as a sensually deep therapy masque that encapsulates your strands of hair to intensely nourish and revive them. This radicalising your hair making it radiant from root to tip.<br />
<br />
I'll be giving these products a try soon, so come back to the blog soon to read more!<br />

SFX Makeup for HalloweenHappy Sunday everyone, and welcome back to Spooktober here on the Jelly Rose blog!<br />
<br />
If you read <a href="http://jellyroseyate.blogspot.co.uk/2015/10/spooktober-day-19-london-baby.html">my last blog post</a>, you will know I joined up with <a href="http://sarahandc.blogspot.co.uk/">Super Sarah World</a> for a girly weekend in London last weekend where we visited Madame Tussauds, Westminster, the Emirates cable car, Ripley's Believe It or Not! museum......and the London Dundeon, where I was diagnosed with the plague, argh!<br />
<br />
Inspired by our hysterically fun and spooky journey in the dungeons, I created this infected plague look using truly simple products (cotton wool, liquid latex, eye-shadows and face paint) and techniques.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiU2JFbVr4-8mFolWyxHH15QNZ_V1Y7e2XL6UwAXL7iC4MVB16XbA2PFWDspTQqz-td2kDggDc_Ra_oQJQ8Coxnxmr6DKG_L2YnQVQYf6UVbAF5K9lcmMbDzhsZMUDbZ2R8Om0cnGOZSxZh/s1600/P1010481.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiU2JFbVr4-8mFolWyxHH15QNZ_V1Y7e2XL6UwAXL7iC4MVB16XbA2PFWDspTQqz-td2kDggDc_Ra_oQJQ8Coxnxmr6DKG_L2YnQVQYf6UVbAF5K9lcmMbDzhsZMUDbZ2R8Om0cnGOZSxZh/s640/P1010481.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i>What do you think? </i></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjCXXF6iS_RXwapzgMIsCC8PASM8OBk7bpX32AvT8SbgThEj_zzfw4fAbdVTaGO6dv3KZV3qsqWI7ZL1r-4t0mRwhYe9CYDboVly0TiAhMZXyewg9piggmRFDOk5X94IdjJ-BDI7V7gaaTm/s1600/P1010485.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjCXXF6iS_RXwapzgMIsCC8PASM8OBk7bpX32AvT8SbgThEj_zzfw4fAbdVTaGO6dv3KZV3qsqWI7ZL1r-4t0mRwhYe9CYDboVly0TiAhMZXyewg9piggmRFDOk5X94IdjJ-BDI7V7gaaTm/s640/P1010485.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The infected plague boils were easily created using cotton wool rolled into balls that I dipped in liquid latex and applied to my face. Using an cotton bud with a little bit of extra latex, I smoothed the edges of the boil so it blends into the skin. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
After the latex has dried fully (about 30 minutes or so, or use the cold setting on your hairdryer to speed to the drying process), I used a mustard yellow eye-shadow to give the skin around the boil an infected puss-filled look. Then a light blend of black & grey to emphasise the boils 3D-mess and create depth and cracks</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
For that final infected look, I used a pointed brush to gently add fine lines of blue face paint to mimic the veins under the skin. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjEeR-3GZdCcheP2TznkHP2AUWN7j8Xjtxb7vYcohANMBKaLFb_Tco2NGXD9RYnCyMyPJebbxHTyaNQ4dSO5pmK_h2gNIMVyrdCeQ2MwJv9UcszntDZEWhyphenhyphen0sBN4s5RVuuZ-OP7SRymC4fO/s1600/P1010483.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjEeR-3GZdCcheP2TznkHP2AUWN7j8Xjtxb7vYcohANMBKaLFb_Tco2NGXD9RYnCyMyPJebbxHTyaNQ4dSO5pmK_h2gNIMVyrdCeQ2MwJv9UcszntDZEWhyphenhyphen0sBN4s5RVuuZ-OP7SRymC4fO/s640/P1010483.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<span style="text-align: center;">I used grey eye-shadow on my lips to give that chapped & ill look, plus dribbles of fake blood around my nostrils and lips!</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjwB2n4U9GctpdYRzl8KqpBbGMwtJT-W1cH5TqQRZ-1yiOh7mL135c2K5ohcZd9pyanCbiF-GzUJNoV-VjRZhYinsUVKvHkZGY1Jtp8tjZntShF_DHcJlyQlKdyxlLal-Jlzs7vhYHsLK2v/s1600/P1010491.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjwB2n4U9GctpdYRzl8KqpBbGMwtJT-W1cH5TqQRZ-1yiOh7mL135c2K5ohcZd9pyanCbiF-GzUJNoV-VjRZhYinsUVKvHkZGY1Jtp8tjZntShF_DHcJlyQlKdyxlLal-Jlzs7vhYHsLK2v/s640/P1010491.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I didn't use a white foundation for this look: instead I mixed a light foundation with grey facepaint to give that decaying sick look to the skin. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
To create deep dark eye bags, I used both grey and brown eye-shadows around the eye socket and blended well with a fluffy brush. Using a touch of red face paint just under the lower lashes gives this extra tired look. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh7As6JawvJVBl729dc_-TUVsFcegDjK01lYXvVmAnquzewCej1iVRLMmWTMWu872hoynw7Ooot1bmzWr41h6dGAjbYoMIbx21QW6ga4CYxSqqbpyp1Ieunj5eGDEsWdh_d2rTKE_iBHVfm/s1600/P1010497.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh7As6JawvJVBl729dc_-TUVsFcegDjK01lYXvVmAnquzewCej1iVRLMmWTMWu872hoynw7Ooot1bmzWr41h6dGAjbYoMIbx21QW6ga4CYxSqqbpyp1Ieunj5eGDEsWdh_d2rTKE_iBHVfm/s640/P1010497.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I did some very light contouring with grey eye-shadow on my cheek bones, plus a few smudge of fake blood on random areas on my face and neck. Then, a quick mess up of my hair, and voila! The look is complete! </div>
<br />
