Today, I'm reviewing Equip which is a range of products for waterless washing. Keep reading: at the end is a giveaway!
The team behind Equip recognises that not all of us can shower easily, and sometimes we're not in a place where traditional bathing options are even available. They have developed a range of pre-moistened wipes, wash mitts, protection wipes and a shampoo cap designed for all situations.
These would have been great in hospital after my two c-sections! It was highly uncomfortable and painful to use the shower on the ward, and as these wipes are so compact and easy to use, they would have been as asset to my post-birth hospital bag to freshen up.
As a mum of two young children, I'll be honest and say it's not always easy to shower every day! Dry shampoo is my usual savior, but I'm very keen to see how well the "Waterless Shampoo Cap" works. The pack says is contains shampoo and conditioner, and can be used hot or cold. Let's try it out!
My Day 2 Hair
Here I am wearing the Waterless Shampoo Cap
It's a plastic shower cap which is lined with fabric. The fabric is saturated with the shampoo & conditioner solution, which you simply massage into your hair for 2-3 minutes.
Voila! This is me after drying and styling my hair
It styled very nicely, and it smells wonderfully fresh, and importantly, it's cleaned really well!

The wipes would be fantastic when travelling with the children on long day trips, as sometimes traditional baby wipes are not always big or wet enough to deal with a dirty or sweaty toddler.
Also, Daddy Howe sometimes cycles the 8-miles to work, and although work does provide shower facilities, it's sometimes already in use or there's no hot water. The Super-thick Wash Mitts would make a great alternative in those situations.
The whole range is portable and easily stashed when needed in Scarlett's nappy changing bag or Tristan's day trip rucksack. They are very affordable too, starting at £2.29 for the super-thick wash mitts, to £3.69 for the waterless shampoo cap.
